Enrichment Classes

BGA offers Enrichment classes in Music, Dance, and  Physical Education. 

All Middle School students rotate through three enrichment courses on a trimester schedule, each lasting 12 consecutive weeks where enrichment teachers see the students four days a week for a full block.

 

Middle School Enrichment Courses:
6th grade: Dance, Visual Art, P.E.
7th grade: Music, Visual Art, P.E.
8th grade:  Visual Art, P.E., Spanish 
 

In the High School, 9th and 10th grade students rotate through four enrichment courses, each lasting one quarter (9 consecutive weeks) where enrichment teachers see the students 4-5 days a week for a full block. The 11th and 12th grade students can choose a year-long elective course from Music, Dance, or Film Studies. This elective course lasts for the full year and meets 4-5 times a week for a 56-minute block.


High School Enrichment Courses: 
9th grade: Music, Dance, Creative Lab, P.E.
10th grade: Music, Dance, Creative Lab, Visual Art
11th & 12th Grade elective courses: Music, Dance, Film Studies

Additional opportunities are available to 11th and 12th grade students through junior or senior seminars, which are special topics clubs that meet 1-2 times per week. Some special topic examples include chorus or singing, step dance, or ukulele.
